Man The Crown Jewel Of God's Creation

By Wendell Tenison

Introduction:

The scriptures contained in this article are marvelous in that they reveal more about man than any others in the bible. The reader is encouraged not to speed read as God did not design his word to be scanned as some other book. The amazing thing about the scripture is for the most part as many times we read verses over and over, we learn something new. This is the never ending learning process God established, whereby, we must, continually grow in understanding.

The Omega of the sixth day:

Gen 1:26-27 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth......So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Gen 2:20-25 "And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him......And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;.....And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man......And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man......Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh......And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

After God created Adam from the dust of the ground, he performed the first medical operation known to mankind. As legend has it, the next time that a remarkable surgery was performed to bring life was that of Gaius Julius Caesar. He was delivered by what is commonly called today, the Caesarean Section.

The next time that God performed an operation to bring a wife was that of the bride of Christ, the church. When our Lord was in deep sleep, God took of the blood and water which flowed from his side and made him a woman. This is confirmed how that we are of his body, his flesh and of his bones, Ephesians 5:29-30. This is also confirmed in 1John 5:8, which states there are three that bear witness in the earth; the Spirit, water and the blood, being the Lord's body, the church. This is identical to what we just read regarding the statement Adam made concerning his wife Eve. Moreover, with the death of Christ and the establishment of the church wherein all are created as new creatures in Christ spiritually, God performs an operation that is not visable to the eye, Colossians 2:12.

The Holy Spirit of God creates all life both fleshly and spiritual:

Psa 104:29-30 "Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust......Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth."

Job 33:4 "The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
"

There are a great many who believe that since the creation, God has become very distant and has no part in the life of men. Without question, God and the Holy Spirit has everything to do with our being, even the air that we breath.

John 3:5-6 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God......That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

1 Cor 12:13 "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

Spiritually speaking, the Holy Spirit makes all creatures that are in Christ. As the verse says, that which is born of the Spirit is spirit, therefore, we cannot see the new inner man in Christ.

The fruit of the womb is God's reward:

Psa 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

Does God take pleasure in the creation of those in the womb? Absolutely. Here again, we also being in the likeness of God have reward for the things that we accomplish.

Eccl 11:5 "As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all."

This is a compound sentence and the word spirit does not refer to the wind, but in the womb.

Psa 139:13 "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb."

Psa 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

Most medical doctors will acknowledge that God is more powerful than themselves and the results of their work rests in his hands.

Mat 10:29-30 "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father......But the very hairs of your head are all numbered."

God knows each soul before they are born:

Jer 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

Psa 56:8 "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?"

Psa 139:15-16 "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth......Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

If we did not know it before, we know it now, because God has a book with all of our body members.

The heart and spirit

Zec 12:1 "The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him."

1 Cor 2:11-12 "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God......Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."

Prov 20:27 "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly."

Prov 16:32 "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city."

Prov 25:28 "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."

Eccl 8:8 "There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it."

Eccl 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

Prov 4:23 "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Prov 23:7 "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee."

God does form the spirit of man within him, but the question is when?

For an indepth study of the spirit of man, please go to the articles page of this web site and select "An Advanced Course on the Spirit of Man."

The art of self deception:

Psa 14:1 "To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

Rom 1:21-22 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened......Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,"

Eccl 7:29 "Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions."

Jer 10:23 "O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps."

Zep 1:18 "Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land."

Sometimes we work very hard at deceiving ourselves and then after the doom and gloom, we say, you idiot, why were you so stupid?

Real eye openers:

Psa 115:16 "The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men."

The earth belongs to man and not vice versa. We worship only God and not a part of his creation.

Eccl 3:13 "And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God."

Eccl 7:1 "A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth."

Job 1:21 "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

Job 14:1-2 "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble......He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not."

Job 14:5 "Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;"

Psa 90:10 "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."

Job 14:14 "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."

God is not mocked:

Gal 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Ezek 18:25 "Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?"

Mal 3:13-14 "Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?.....Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?"

Prov 28:9-10 "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination......Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession."

There are some verses in the bible that some men vehemently despise and Prov.28:9-10 are two of them.

The apostle Paul and the three prophets just quoted spoke the truth and not lies. Woe unto him who accuses God.

Only two things are sure in this life, death and taxes:

Eccl 5:15 "As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand."

Rom 2:12 "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;"

Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Rom 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

As a result of Adam's sin, death has passed upon all men. The question is, are we ready? Too many, the answer is no.

To question God as to how he made us is not wise:

Rom 9:11 "(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)"

Rom 9:12 "It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger."

Rom 9:13 "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."

Rom 9:14 "What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid."

Rom 9:15 "For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

Rom 9:16 "So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy."

Rom 9:17 "For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth."

Rom 9:18 "Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth."

Rom 9:19 "Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?"

Rom 9:20 "Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?"

Rom 9:21 "Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?"

Rom 9:22 "What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:"

Rom 9:23 "And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,"

We either accept the truth of these verses or we do not. The scriptures tell us not to become weary in well doing, because if we faint not we shall reap in due season, Gal. 6:9.

No man can ever find out the mighty works of God:

Eccl 8:17 "Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it."

1 Cor 2:10-11 "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God......For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God."

The foolishness of God is wiser than men and his weakness is stronger than men, 1Corinthians 1:25.

The biological clock is ticking:

0 - - 10 from birth to puberty
10 - 20 puberty to manhood
20 - 40 manhood to middle age spread
40 - 50 middle age spread to middle age crazy
50 - 60 middle age crazy to abrupt physical changes
60 - 70 abrupt physical changes to old age side effects
70 - 80 old age side effects to; in the words of Vernon Gruver, "I make a list of all my body parts before I go to bed and when I wake up, I check and see if all of them are still in place."
